On the top of everyone’s wish list is a trip to the Reef. This incredible ecosystem is is the world’s largest coral reef, and home to more than 1500 species of tropical fish- you can even dive with sea turtles. Consider exploring the reef from the Whitsundays or Port Douglas, but visit with respect- the reef needs our help now more than ever, so learn more here about how to get involved

Year-round sunshine

Queensland weather definitely does not disappoint, if you’re a lover of the heat (such as me). Slap on the sunscreen and make the most of it.

Be amazed by the beauty of the Whitsundays

The Whitsundays offer some of the world’s most beautiful beaches- consider staying on Qualia for a massive splurge, or Hamilton Island and Airlie Beach offer a range of accommodation options- don’t miss seeing Whitehaven Beach, consistently ranked as one of the world’s top beaches.

  2. The Great Barrier Reef has always been a bucket list of mine!
Surrounded by its natural bright beauty and fishes is a true dime!
I’d go snorkelling with the fish and laze on their pure white beaches in QLD’s amazing weather!
There is literally nothing more relaxing I can think of to do with my family together!

  3. I’ve been to the Great Barrier Reef but was very ill at the time. I’d like to go to the Whitsundays. My son studied in Australia and my other sun worked there. I heard great things about the Whitsundays from the one who studied there and traveled afterwards

  6. Antarctica! Can you fly me there, please? 🙂 OK, failing that, I’d be pretty happy with a trip up to the Daintree to thaw out! I’m from Melbourne after all 😉
